About the Book: How Eunhae Found Her Light Again
My debut picture book is a story about a young girl surrounded by darkness and hardship. When Eunhae experiences a devastating loss and loses even her own light, she embarks on a quiet journey to find that light again. This story is deeply personal, inspired by my own journey navigating trauma and healing as a survivor and single mother. As a mental health therapist and former foster parent as well, I have also been profoundly inspired by the stories of children carrying grief far beyond what any child should have to bear. How Eunhae Found Her Light Again was born from these shared journeys—my own, and those of the children I’ve walked alongside. It is a gentle spark of hope for anyone struggling to see the light, and for those walking beside them.
